North Carolina IS the East Coast's Surf Fishing "Heaven" where there are miles upon miles of excellent fishing sites. For that truly unique adventure, let Captain Charlie show you some new and special spots on the Carolina Coast! Many of these sites are where you can drive and stay the night in a 5-star accomodation.  A few of these spots are accessible only by small boat where tent camping would be a must. A great number are boat day trips only. Places such as Cedar Creek, Johnnie's Island, the Thoroughfare, Wild Horse Bay await your lines and bait...There are trips for every level of fisherman and creature comfort, but all are a chance to have an extremely rewarding day on the water with big fish and great scenery to boot!

All fishing tackle is provided in your charter, from lightweight spinning tackle for "Fin Fish" to the heavier conventional tackle for the monster "Channel Bass." Only the freshest bait is used on your trips, and a large quantity of ice is carried to insure your catch remains fresh until you depart.

If you have your own personal gear that you wish to use, please feel free to bring it along. If you have a special request (Big Drum, Big Flounder) just let us know and we will custom design your trip to try and suit your demands!

Sometimes the Best Trip is simply getting away, being near the water, watching the stars late at night while enjoying a campfire on the beach, just knowing there is no phone, no fax, no computer to disturb your time of relaxation on the beach.

For the individual who wants to learn about surf fishing or wants to improve his surf fishing skills, the "Lost Boy" has designed a complete and thorough instructional package which takes two (2) days to complete. Instruction is provided in the areas of :

• Reading the Waters (Finding the Fish)
• Proper Use of the Tackle
• Hooks, Knots, Baits and Lines
• Casting
• Catching
• Handling the Catch
• Cleaning the Catch
• Various Rigs for Different Types of Fish
• Things you will Need (and do NOT Need)
• Beach Safety and Beach Driving

All instruction takes place on the beach. We fish as we learn, thereby maximizing your time, fun and efforts. Learn by doing and do to learn. This is a wonderful funfilled way to get started in America's favorite sport.

In your surf fishing school, all equipment is provided from light to heavy tackle. You will have the opportunity to use a lot of different types of tackle so you can find out what you want to later purchase and also what you do NOT want to purchase unnecessarily. In many instances, the "Lost Boy" has helped in the purchasing of tackle at one of his favorite stores to insure his students get the proper gear at the proper price. Some former students have remarked that the savings over purchasing unneeded gear has more than paid for the cost of the "Lost Boy's" surf fishing school!!!  In this instruction you will learn to tie the World Famous “Chicken Rig“ which can spell Success over failure many times out on the water!!!!

The "Lost Boy" has conducted classes for small groups (friends, scouts, etc.) It is always more fun with others to share the successes and in many cases, everyone contributes to the learning process.

All fishing gear, bait, ice, and tackle are provided. For YOUR comfort don't forget anything!! YOUR list should include:

• Clothes & Hat
• Sleeping bag/pillow ( When Needed )
• Toiletries
• Appropriate footwear/boots/waders
• Sunscreen
• A very good Insect Repellent
• Rain Gear
• Any Special liquid refreshment (Beer,  etc.)
• Any special dietary needs
• Empty Cooler to fill with fresh fish*
• Fun filled spirit of Adventure
• If in doubt...Bring it anyway!

For the basic day rate (8 hour) of surf fishing, the cost is $450.00.

For the Full day rate (24 hours, overnight) the cost is $700.00

For the Surf Fishing School, call for further details and availabilty.
